Extendable dining table by Skaraborgs Möbelindustri, made in Sweden. The table is round when not extended and can be made larger with two additional leaves, turning it into an oval dining table.

The tabletop is made from curly birch veneer and the rest of the table is made from solid birch. We really love the curly birch on this table, with its beautiful, almost wavy grain that gives the tabletop a lot of character. Curly birch is a rare variety of silver birch that grows naturally in Northern Europe, particularly in Finland, Karelia and parts of Sweden. The unusual pattern is formed as the wood fibres grow in a wavy and irregular way rather than running straight through the tree, creating the beautiful figuring you see across the tabletop.

Skaraborgs Möbelindustri was based in Tibro, Sweden, an area with a long history of furniture making. The combination of the warm birch, beautiful tabletop and the option to extend the table makes this a great dining table for both everyday use and larger gatherings.

This table is in great condition and mostly used without the extended leaves as these are a bit lighter in color, but the difference in color is only minor. The table has normal signs of usage for its age.
