Pastoe SB03 Dining Chairs by Cees Braakman (Green)
Set of four Pastoe SB03 dining chairs designed by Cees Braakman in 1952. In the early 50s Cees Braakman went to the US to visit Charles and Ray Eames. He was very intrigued by the new use of materials. They were using steam machines to bent plywood and create new, cheap and strong furniture. Cees was inspired by the Eames couple and used these new use of material in his designs in the 50s, as can be seen in these SB03 chairs. These chairs were clearly inspired by the DCW and LCW chairs from Eames. Nevertheless, these chairs are amazing and very comfortable.
This set is in complete original condition and bought by the first owners in the 1950s. The have green skai upholstery and all four chairs are in great condition as can be seen from the pictures. Price is for the set of 4 chairs.
