Moon Phases of 2026 by Maayan Elyakim
The moon, a symbol of change and transformation, is always present yet never looks the same. Waxing and waning, it serves as a reminder of the laws of the universe. Its death will always be followed by a rebirth. Illuminating our night sky, the moon shines through the darkness of the human psyche. Ideas, thoughts, and feelings dissolve and meld, just as the moon melts the months and days that pass, clearing the path for change and renewal and enabling the conditions for transformation.
These prints are created using traditional paper marbling technique, employing natural pigments on cotton rag paper. Over the marbled base layer, two silkscreen layers are applied: black serves as a mask revealing the moon phases, while white denotes the months and dates. Each print is hand-marbled, hand printed and unique.
For in-store pick-up, it will be flat-packed. When shipped, it will be sent in a paper tube. Once it arrives, unroll it carefully and place something flat on top for a few hours to prevent curling.
