Louis Poulsen PH4/3 Pendant Lamp by Poul Henningsen (White)
PH4/3 pendant lamp designed by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen. Poul Henningsen designed this three-shade system in 1925. The first lamps were designed for an exhibition in Paris. His work sought to create glare-free light, direct light where it was most needed, and soft shadows, using incandescent bulbs as a light source. The PH4/3 was launched in 1966 and this design follows the general three-shade system based on the logarithmic spiral, with the centre of the light source positioned at the centre of the spiral. This light is a simplification of the light designed in 1929.
The lamp fits an E27 bulb (not included) and is in great vintage condition with minor signs of usage.
