Pinus glass vase designed by Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala in 1972. Made from clear glass, the vase has a textured surface inspired by pine bark. The raised pattern creates an interplay of light and shadow across the glass. Wirkkala frequently drew inspiration from nature, translating textures and forms found in the Finnish landscape into glass. The Pinus series was produced by Iittala from 1973 to 1999.

This is the larger version of the 16.5 cm Pinus vase also available. This vase is also in great condition as can be seen in the pictures.
