Model 144 desk lamp designed by H. Busquet for Hala Zeist in the Netherlands. The lamp features a large domed-shaped aluminium shade, a matching round base and a polished metal stem. Both the shade and stem are adjustable, allowing the light to be directed where needed.

The original design is attributed to Herman Theodoor Jan Anthoin Busquet, who was closely associated with Hala from its early years. The Model 144 was a later development of his earlier desk lamp design and appears in Hala catalogues from 1959 and 1967. It was produced in several finishes and remained in production for many years. Hala was an important Dutch lighting manufacturer, established in Zeist in the early 1930s. The company became known for its range of functional desk, table and wall lamps.

This lamp is in good vintage condition with som signs of use as can be seen in the pictures.
