This fruit bowl is designed by Dutch designer Bart van Heesch. In 1996 he designed this fruit bowl as an assignment for the Design Academy Eindhoven. The design is inspired by an empty corn cob. So when you've eaten the corn the part that is left over has a similar shape as this fruit bowl. It mainly fits rounder fruits like apples, pears or oranges. It's made from cast aluminium and this is one of the earlier versions which weren't polished yet. They are made in India by Pols Potten and sold by Leitmotiv. This piece is in great condition.
