Paper Moon 03 lamp designed by Shigeru Uchida. Delicately handcrafted from Washi paper in the Gifu prefecture of Japan where they've been creating these lamps from over 90 years. The Paper Moon lamps have beautiful organic shapes and bring soft mood light into any space.

The process of creating each lamp involves wrapping bamboo around wooden frames and then gluing and applying each panel of rice paper separatly until the entire surface of the lamp is covered. The shape of the lamp articulates the Japanese principe of wabi-sabi. Wabi-sabi is the idea of finding beauty in every aspect of imperfection in nature. The Paper Moon lamps fit an E14 bulb which support LED bulbs (not included).
