Metaform HK-2 side table designed by Hank Kwint. The HK-2 side table is the smaller version of this table and this is a rare edition with a red colored marble base. Normally they are black or white, but we haven't seen the red one before. It's in great condition with minor signs of usage.

Hank Kwint was born in Kesteren, the Netherlands in 1951. He studied mechenical engineering in secondary technical school, but because he preferred to focus on design he decided to take an evening course in interior design in 1978. He worked for Leolux where his designs are in true 'De Stijl' style.

In 1983 Hank first started working with Metaform, his minimalistic designs fitted well with the furniture maker and his first table was created (the KW-1). Their collaboration lasted until 2010 and during his time Kwint also designed the Trailer table, the HK-1 and 2, the HK-5 and many more. Hank Kwint also designed for other companies such as Pastoe, Gelderland, Inter Art and Groep M, Mirodan.
