Set of 4 Artek 66 chairs designed by Alvar Aalto. Designed in 1935 and made from solid birch legs with birch laminated backrest and black linoleum seats. The simple shape, curved backrest and contrasting black seats give them a timeless look. The chairs were bought in the 1980s and even come with their original receipt from the first owner these chairs came from. The chairs are in great condition as can be seen in the pictures.

The chairs are part of Aalto’s L-leg collection. Developed with furniture maker Otto Korhonen and patented in 1933, the L-leg technique made it possible to bend solid birch into a 90-degree angle, creating a strong leg from a single piece of wood. This method became central to Aalto’s furniture designs and allowed components to be used across a wide range of pieces.
