AP Originals easy chair or lounge chair designed by Dutch architect Hein Salomonson in 1968. This modernist chair was originally designed and produced for De Nederlandsche Bank (Dutch National Bank). It's very heavy and high quality made. It has a chromed metal frame with black leather cushions and armrests. This chairs is in amazing condition with barely any signs of usage as can be seen in the photos.
Hein Salomonson (1910-1994) was one of the second-generation architects of the 'Nieuwe Bouwen' style, the Dutch branch of the International School of Modernism. He helped shape modern living in the Netherlands in the 1950s and 1960s, also as an editor of Goed Wonen magazine.
Salomonson had a sense of aesthetics and an eye for detail, material and shape. He drew inspiration from the work of Le Corbusier, Alvar Aalto and Gerrit Rietveld.
