Set of 6 Iittala 2204 Glasses by Tapio Wirkkala (Blue)
Set of six blue drinking glasses designed by Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala in 1956. These tall glasses have a gently curved shape that tapers towards the base and are made from thin, lightweight glass.
Model 2204 was produced by Iittala until 1969. Wirkkala designed a wide range of glassware for the Finnish manufacturer, from everyday drinking glasses to art glass. These glasses are a good example of his work in functional glass design. They are also part of the collection at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York and the British Museum. These glasses are in great condition and have probably barely been used before. Price is for the set of 6 glasses.
