Natural Burl Wood Sculpture
Sculptural burl wood piece with an beautiful shape formed by nature. Burl is a growth that develops on a tree, resulting in irregular forms that vary from one piece to another. Rather than being carved into a particular shape, this piece has been left to showcase its naturally formed silhouette. We brought this piece back from our recent trip to Finland, so we expect it to be a piece of birch wood as this is a common piece of wood in Finland used for furniture making.
