Pinus glass vase designed by Tapio Wirkkala in 1972 and produced by Iittala from 1973 to 1999. The clear glass has a textured surface inspired by pine bark, with a pattern that catches the light and creates varying shadows. Wirkkala often drew inspiration from the Finnish landscape, translating the textures of wood, ice and other natural forms into glass. For the Pinus vase, the surface had to be carefully developed in the mould and combined with a precise glassblowing process to achieve its distinctive relief.

This vase is in great condition and signed on the bottom with 'TW'.
