Great set of hand turned wooden bowls. These bowls are made from burl wood. Burl wood is a very peculiar wood that is known for its figured pattern, prized for its beauty and rarity. Burl results from a tree undergoing some form or stress or it may be cause by an injury, virus or fungus. This causes the tree to outgrow a rounded area that is filled with small knots from dormants buds, this gives the burl wood it characterising look.

These bowls are handmade so differ in size slightly. Both are in great condition and will be sold as a set.
