Panama wall lamp, model 4050, designed by Wim Rietveld for Gispen in 1956. This lamp is mounted to the wall and has three hinges which can be adjusted with the red key. The shade has this great red color and the shape is based on a sun hat also known as a Panama hat.

The lamp is in great condition with minimal signs of usage. It comes including the red adjustment key, backplate and a replacement diffuser.

Wim Rietveld (1924-1985) is the son of architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld. His designs attracted the company Gispen, where he designed office furniture from 1953 till 1956. Later they widened the assortment and he also designed more living furniture and lighting. Wim always looked for the perfect balance between functionality and solid design.
